Administration

Administration functions can be accessed by selection of ADMINISTRATION from the Navigation Menu.

Access to this module should be limited to trained users only as modification of the data could have an application wide impact.

	Changes to administrative data in one dataset should not affect similar administrative data in any other dataset, with 2 exceptions.
	Changes to the description of the Status Reference will update all datasets.
	Changes to Users access rights will affect all datasets.

Administration selection

All items and structures used within the main SPM Projects application are set up in the Administration section:

Global data items are set up in references.
Inflation rate choices are set up in Inflation.
Multiple data version are managed in Dataset Versions.
User security levels are managed in Security Admin.

Version provides confirmation about which SPM Projects version is being run. This is a software application version, not the Dataset selected for review.

	When dealing with the items in the Administration section it is important to understand that modification or deletion of data may have an impact on records that have already been entered in the application.
	Once Administration set up has been completed, it should be modified with care only, and can only be modified by a user with appropriate security rights.
