Functions

To create a new function

1. Click the + sign in front of Functions
2. Click an existing function name

   The information screen of the selected function is displayed

   

3. Click add function button to display a blank add function screen

   

4. Fill in function information (Code and Name are mandatory fields)
5. Click save function button

   The admin tree will be refreshed automatically and the new function added into the tree

   The Activities Assignment and Fields Assignment options will be added to the new function

   

6. Click Activities Assignment

   The activity assignment screen is displayed on the right

   

7. Assign user activity(s) to the new function.
8. Click save button
9. Click Fields Assignment in the admin tree

   The fields assignment screen is displayed on the right

   

10. Select tables from available tables then make link from selected

    Make the selected tables/data readable/writable to the user activities

11. Click save button

    The field assignment function allows the administrator to set access rights at the field level for selected user activity(s). e.g. An ordinary user can read the Sub-activity screen information but can not modify it.

To modify an existing function

1. Click the + sign in front of Functions
2. Click an existing function name

   The function information screen will be displayed if it's a user defined function

3. Modify function information, click save function button
4. Click Activity Assignment or Fields Assignment under the selected function in the admin tree
5. Change assignment information
6. Click save button

To delete an existing function

1. Click a user defined function in the admin tree

   The function screen will be displayed on the right

   

2. Click delete function

   A confirmation prompt will be displayed

   

3. Click OK to confirm deletion

   Only user defined functions can be modified/deleted. The activity/field assignment of a system defined function can be modified but the function itself cannot be modified/deleted.
