Import Files Screen

Population growth should be defined as an external csv file before importing into SPM Projects.

Growth Models, Catchment Scenarios and Catchment Structures should be created before Growth Models are imported.

To Import a Growth Model

Upload the csv File

1. Click the Browse button

   A file navigation box will be displayed.

2. Navigate to and select the required csv file

   The filename and path should be displayed in the Select File field.

3. Click the Upload button to upload the file

   The file should display as document icon in the tree structure.

   The file should also display in the filename list, formatted with blue text.

   The word import will be coloured blue (not yet imported).

4. Click on the word import

   A mapping screen will be displayed.

   

   Field	Contents
   empty tables before import	Tick if existing data is to be deleted
   overwrite existing data	Tick if existing data is to be overwritten.
   	If a match is found between existing and new data, the old data will be overwritten.
   project table	The table into which this data will be imported
   project fieldname	The fields into which this data will be imported.
   column in uploaded csv file	The column in the uploaded csv file to be mapped to the project field.
   	The system may attempt to match to a system table and system field.
   	Alternatively select from the drop down list.
   	Non mandatory fields can be omitted.
   into growth scenario	Select the Growth Model from the drop down list.

Import the csv File

1. Click the import button to initiate the data import process.

   

   The word import will now be coloured purple (import complete).

2. Click on the Growth tab to view the imported data.
3. System Localities can be allocated in this screen if the import did not find a suitable match.
   

   The specific physical place where a Project (or part of a Project) will occur. The Locality does not necessarily identify who will receive the services, or who will ultimately fund the project. See Catchment for further discussion.

   

   A Project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product or service defined by a specific set of deliverables.

   A project involves the selection of specific components for maintenence or renewal activities, with a budget allocated to cover the cost of the project.

   A series of Projects, combine to form a Programme.
