Selection Categories

Selection of Activity, Sub-activity, Scenario and Programme Combinations can be managed using Selection Categories.

A Programme is an integrated system of Projects, intended to meet a specific service or need, to deliver an overall change for the business.

A Scenario is a grouping of Programmes and Projects intended to deiver the same Activity service.

A Sub-activity is a specific maintenance or renewal category under which Programmes and Projects can be defined e.g stormwater.

A Sub-activity comprises a set of related Programmes which collectively deliver an overall change for the business.

This feature can be displayed above the Selection List by one of two methods and is useful, in particular, for Report List generation.

1. Clicking the select link at the top of the screen

   

2. Or Picking the select sub menu option from the Navigation Menu.

   The select sub menu option is available underneath PROGRAMMES or PROJECTS main menu items.

   

   Three boxes offering selection of Sub-activities, Scenarios and Programmes will be displayed.

   

To Filter Item Selections

1. Click an item in the activity/sub-activity box.

   The selected item will be highlighted.

   The list of items in the scenarios and the programmes boxes will be filtered according to association with the selected sub-activity

2. Click an item in the scenarios box and then the programmes box to further reduce the available listings.

   Use the Ctrl or Shift keyboard keys to select non-adjacent or adjacent items.

3. Click the select button to confirm the required combination of Sub-activities, Scenarios and Programmes.

   Items displayed in the Selection List will be modified according to the filtered selections.

   

To Hide Selection Boxes

1. Click the hide button, to hide the selection boxes from the screen.

To Reset Selection Choices

1. Click the reset button, to de-select any selection choices.

   The selection boxes can be re-displayed by clicking the select link at the top of the screen.
